AEW Dynamite review 2/8/23
This week the show opened with MJF taking on Kenouske Takeshita, this match for Takeshita was better than his match against Bryan, he did just about everything to beat the champion, he attempted his top rope clothesline but MJF was able to land on his feet, he then went for the piledriver, but that was countered with the armbar and he was forced to tap out, I give this match 8/10. The next match however would be not so fortunate, Jamie Hayter would take on The Bunny, while the match would start fine, the ending was bad , Jamie attempted an exploder suplex and The Bunny either landed on her neck or shoulder, this match gets 4/10. Next up would be Bryan Danielson against Rush, Rush would get the upper hand early by attacking his arm, and before commercial do a moonsault on the outside, after the commercial break Bryan was bleeding worse than Moxley does, he and would chop the daylights out of each other, Bryan would hit a running knee but Rush would kick out, the chops and slaps would continue, Bryan would eventually win with another knee, this match was easily 10/10, and in the words of another red headed wrestler, he just keeps having banger after banger! The next match would be for the Trios titles with The Elite taking on AR Fox and Top, this match was absolutely insane, this would be a back and forth contest the whole time, the counters by Top Flight were unbelievable and looked that for a few pinfalls that there would be new champions, but Kenny would get the pin for The Elite, this match also gets 10/10. The main event would be The Gunns against The Acclaimed for the Tag Team Championship, Billy Gunn would not accompany The Acclaimed to the ring, The Acclaimed would get control early in the match, however when Anthony Bowens went for a rolling punch he hit the referee. Max Caster would hit the mic drop, but of course no referee, so Austin and Colton would try to use the belts to win only to hit their dad with them who came down to stop them, The Gunns would get the win by hitting Anthony Bowens with the belt and getting a roll up. I give this match 7.5/10, I know people didn’t like the ending, nut I don’t think The Gunns will be champions for very long, the show was very good, thank you for reading.
